GoDaddy is DOWN probably due to DDOS Attacks


GoDaddy’s services are experiencing intermittent outages today. The attacks brought down huge number of websites that are using DNS and hosting services provided by GoDaddy.  However, GoDaddy released no official figure that tells how many websites were affected by the attacks.  




Besides kept updating the scenario by Tweets, GoDaddy did also inserted Notice Bar on the top of the company’s website ( GoDaddy.com ). The notice bar shown officially acknowledgement from GoDaddy that the company's services were experienced intermittent outages at 10:25 am PT, and the services began to be restored for the bulk of affected customers at 2.43 pm PT. GoDaddy did also stressed that at no time was any sensitive customer information, such as credit card data, passwords or names and addresses are compromised.



Anonymous Own3r Claimed Responsibility

A Twitter account named ‘Anonymous Own3r’ claimed the responsibility for the attacks with the tweet “ I’m taking godaddy down because well I’d like to test how the cyber security is safe and for more reasons that I can not talk now.”

Thus, this happening did really startle many people, and raised more concerns over the Internet’s Security.
